Surf Soapys

Soapys - Point Roadnight, Anglesea Soapys features a mellow, average wave ideal for beginners, characterized by a right-hand reef break over flat rocks. The wave is generally powerless, making it perfect for those new to surfing. It works best at mid to high tide, particularly with a rising tide, and is surfed primarily when other nearby beaches are blown out. Located between Point Roadknight and Anglesea main beach, Soapys is easily accessible via a short walk (5-15 minutes). The spot remains uncrowded, with only a few surfers on weekends. While the wave can be fun, it requires a good south-south-east swell to perform optimally. The rocky outcrop provides some shelter from southwest to west winds, enhancing the conditions on favorable days. Always check the swell and wind directions before heading out, as the wave quality can vary significantly.
