Silvalde features a right-hand beach break with a sandy bottom, known for its fast waves. The spot is consistent and not crowded, making it an appealing choice for surfers seeking a less hectic environment. Access is straightforward, with a short walk (5-15 minutes) from the parking area near the railway stop.
Located south of the city of Espinho, Silvalde is positioned between Cagalhotos and Capela. The artificial rock wall marks the entry point, where surfers can swim around the south side to reach the break. The wave works best at mid tide, particularly during rising and falling tides, with optimal conditions when the swell comes from the northwest and winds from the north, northwest, or east. Summer is the prime season, offering good surf conditions with few surfers in the water.
