Surf Samouco

Samouco - São Pedro de Moel Samouco is a beach break featuring sandy bottoms with powerful, hollow, and fast waves. The spot typically breaks to the right, although it can also offer lefts. It works best during mid to high tide, particularly on a rising tide, with optimal conditions from swells coming from the NorthWest, West, SouthWest, and South, and winds from the South, SouthEast, East, and NorthEast. Located just north of the car park, access requires a short 5-minute walk. To reach Samouco, head north from São Pedro de Moel towards Praia da Vieira, keeping an eye out for the left-side exits. On weekdays, surfers can enjoy epic barrels with minimal crowding, while weekends see a few more surfers in the water. Be cautious of rips and localism, which can pose challenges for newcomers.
