Surf Pump House

Pump House - Singer Island, Florida Pump House is renowned for its heavy barreling lefts breaking over a shallow, diamond-shaped sandbar. This sandbar creates thick, fast, and hollow waves, making it the closest thing to a big wave spot Florida has. The wave is characterized by its powerful nature, requiring strong paddling skills to maintain position due to strong currents. Located on Singer Island north of Palm Beach inlet, Pump House attracts a mix of locals and pros, especially on big days. The spot works best at low and mid tide with a falling tide, and is optimal with northeast swells and west to southwest winds. While the crowd is generally sparse during the week, weekends see a few surfers. However, caution is advised due to dangers such as rips, rocks, and localism. Broken boards and road rash are common, and it's recommended to be prepared for challenging conditions.
