Surf Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico - Ecuador Puerto Rico features a beach break with both right and left waves over a sandy bottom. The waves can reach heights of over 3 meters, particularly from December to May, but often result in closeouts. The spot is accessible via a short walk and is best surfed during rising tides to avoid heavy closeouts. This remote surf location is situated half an hour north of Montañita and offers a tranquil atmosphere with minimal crowds during the week. The area is characterized by occasional fishermen and the presence of whales during the season. While the surf can be ordinary, with the right swell and wind, it can produce tubular waves, especially near the point by the mountain. Caution is advised due to potential dangers such as urchins and rips. Accessing the beach may require navigating through private properties, but theft is not a significant concern due to the low tourist presence.
