Surf Park Point

Park Point - Duluth, Minnesota Park Point features a sandy bottom beach break with waves breaking both right and left. This spot is ideal for beginners but can produce fun conditions when the wind is favorable, particularly from the southwest or straight north. It operates at all tides, making it a reliable choice for surfers in the Duluth area. From June to September, Park Point is the only surfable location in the region, attracting a few surfers during the week and weekends. The atmosphere is friendly, with opportunities to connect with fellow surfers. Notable peaks include 1st Turns and the School House, where the waves gain power as you head further down the beach. While the sandbars can be definitive, they may flatten out during fall big wave events, offering surprisingly enjoyable surf when conditions align.
