Surf Needles

Needles - Isle of Wight Needles features a rocky reef break with powerful, hollow waves that can be ledgey and slabby. The spot is accessible only by boat or through a perilous paddle, making it a dangerous location for surfing. The waves break both right and left, but the area is notorious for its strong currents and risks associated with rips and undertow. Despite rumors of surfable waves, local knowledge suggests that very few, if any, have successfully surfed here. The isolation and treacherous conditions deter most surfers. The prevailing wind comes from the east, while swell typically approaches from the west. Given the extreme dangers and lack of reliable surf reports, this spot is not recommended for surfing, and caution is advised for anyone considering the venture.
