Description
Mansfield Jetty - Texas Coast
Mansfield Jetty features a beach break with both right and left waves, characterized by a sandy bottom and powerful, hollow, and fast conditions. The spot works at all tides, particularly during falling tide, and is best accessed via a four-wheel drive vehicle due to the challenging 65-mile sandy beach drive.
Located about 80 miles south of Corpus Christi, Port Mansfield Jetties offers a remote and uncrowded surfing experience. The jetties create lined-up waves, making it ideal for experienced surfers. The vibe is laid-back, with minimal crowds, especially during weekdays. The best surfing seasons are late summer to fall and late winter to mid-spring. While the jetties provide some protection from winds, surfers should be prepared for natural challenges, including rips and undertow. Bring your shortboard, funboard, longboard, or fish, and ensure you have all necessary supplies for this hardcore surf trip.
