Surf Jones Beach

Jones Beach - Kiama Downs Jones Beach features a beach break with both right and left waves, characterized by a sandy bottom interspersed with rocks. The spot is known for its ordinary power and works best at mid tide, particularly with rising and falling tides. Swell from the southeast and west winds can create favorable conditions. Located in Kiama Downs, this surf spot offers instant access within a five-minute walk. The north end is noted for its nice lefts, while the constantly changing banks mean both ends can produce decent waves. Although the beach can be relatively empty during the week, expect a few surfers on weekends. Be mindful of localism, rips, and rocks, and remember to share the waves to maintain a friendly atmosphere among the local surfers.
