Surf Grupuk

Grupuk - South Lombok Grupuk features a reef break with powerful and fun waves, predominantly breaking to the right. The spot consists of three distinct areas: a long crowded right inside, a huge left outside, and Tattoo Point, which offers an A-frame setup. The best conditions occur at mid tide during a rising tide with southeast swell and favorable wind from the north or northeast. Located on the southern coast of Lombok, Grupuk is accessible via a short boat ride from the Grupuk fishing village. While the atmosphere is vibrant and friendly, the spot can become crowded, especially when the surf is good. For optimal sessions, surfers should aim for early mornings or after noon, keeping in mind that northwest winds provide cleaner conditions. With no accommodations in Grupuk, staying in nearby Kuta Lombok is recommended, making the short motorbike or taxi ride to the surf spot. Be cautious of urchins in the water and enjoy the local culture and cuisine after your session.
