It works well at all tides, particularly with swells from the South, Southwest, and Southeast. This surf spot is characterized by its consistent waves, aided by the nearby Kewalo Basin channel, which draws in swells. Surfers typically paddle out from the wall, as there is no beach. While it offers thrilling rides, it is not beginner-friendly due to the presence of sharp rocks, urchins, and potential shark sightings. Additionally, be cautious of fishing boat traffic in the area.
