Surf Commercial Pier

Commercial Pier (Anglin's Pier) - Lauderdale by the Sea Commercial Pier features a sandy bottom with both right and left-breaking waves. This sandbar beach break comes alive 5-10 times a year, primarily during good N or NNE mid-period groundswells, and works best at low and mid-tide on a rising tide. The waves can be hollow, fast, and ledgy, making it a spot for dedicated surfers. Located just east of Commercial Boulevard, Commercial Pier offers easy access for surfers, although it can get crowded on weekends. While it may not be a premier surf destination, it has its moments, especially during the fall to spring season. Be cautious of the pier when paddling out, as it poses a hazard. The spot is known for its lively atmosphere, with a mix of local surfers and tourists, and hosts an annual ESA contest, showcasing its potential during optimal conditions.
