Surf Cliffs

Cliffs - Diamond Head, Hawaii Cliffs features a reef (coral) wave that breaks both right and left over sharp rocks. The spot is accessible via a short walk (5-15 minutes) from the Diamond Head lookouts, with public access available. It works at all tides and is best with south and southeast swells, although it can get messy during trade winds. This surf spot is known for its collection of 5-6 reefs and channels, creating a scattered surf environment that can accommodate a crowd of surfers and kitesurfers. While it can get ultra crowded on weekends, the layout helps to disperse the surfers. On optimal days with north swells or glassy conditions, Cliffs can deliver fun sessions. Be cautious of rocky areas and urchins, and consider exploring less crowded sections on the sides for a more mellow experience. Always lock your car to avoid local theft.
