Surf Cherry Hill

Cherry Hill - Solana Beach Cherry Hill features a beach break with both right and left waves, characterized by a mix of flat rocks and sand on the bottom. The spot is best during mid tide with a rising tide, primarily working on northwest swells. While it can hold size during winter swells, it is generally not considered a top surf destination. Located between Rockpile and Pillbox, Cherry Hill is easily accessible with less than a five-minute walk from parking areas. Although it can be crowded on weekends, weekdays often offer solitude for surfers. The wave quality can improve after heavy rainfall, but localism and pollution are notable concerns. While not the most consistent spot, it can deliver fun and powerful waves when conditions align, particularly at the main peak south of the stairs.
