Surf Cathedral Rock

This spot is best surfed during winter with solid southwest or south swells, primarily working at low and mid tides. The wave is known for its competitive atmosphere, often becoming ultra-crowded on weekends. Access is convenient, with a car park located adjacent to the Great Ocean Road, just a couple of kilometers before Lorne. Surfers can check the conditions without leaving their vehicles. The paddle out is facilitated by a channel to the west of the peak, allowing for easier navigation around the lineup. Be prepared for localism and ensure good board control when navigating the uneven reef, especially during busy sessions when the waves are pumping.
