Description
Bellambi Point - Australia
This left point break features a heavy, shallow reef bottom with sharp rocks and sand. It primarily works on giant southerly swells and is best surfed at high tide during rising tide conditions. The waves are fast, powerful, and ledgey, offering a thrilling barrel after a decent take-off.
Access is straightforward; surfers can walk onto the beach and paddle out after a short 5-15 minute walk. The spot is often dominated by bodyboarders, but it remains relatively empty during the week, with only a few surfers on weekends. Caution is advised due to potential dangers such as urchins, rips, and localism. The ideal wind directions are from the west and southwest, while the swell should come from the east or northeast for optimal conditions.
