Access is easy, with parking available along the point and an instant walk of less than 5 minutes to the surf. Known for its fun atmosphere, Barrack Point can become crowded on weekends, while weekdays see fewer surfers. The wave breaks both right and left, but caution is advised due to localism and hazards like urchins and rocks. Surfers should be wary of the shallow inside section, which can be ankle height at high tide, making duck diving difficult. It's crucial to respect the lineup and avoid dropping in to maintain a good vibe among the locals.
