Located near the surf lifesaving club, Back Beach is a local favorite, especially when the reefs are less favorable. While it may not always produce the best conditions, it offers a casual atmosphere for surfers of all levels. Expect a mix of crowds, particularly on weekends, as it attracts both beginners and seasoned surfers. The spot is known for its occasional good barrels and fun closeouts, but be cautious of rips and localism. For the best experience, visit after a small swell when the sandbanks are optimal.
