Antigues Cape - Port-Louis Antigues Cape features a reef break with both right and left waves, characterized by hollow and fun conditions. The spot is accessible within a five-minute walk from the parking area at Plage du Souffleur. It works at all tides, with optimal conditions during rising and falling tides, particularly when north and east swells roll in. Located on the west coast of Grande Terre, this surf spot can get quite crowded, especially during winter swells. The picturesque backdrop of Souffleur Plage enhances the experience, but be prepared for a lineup filled with surfers. While the waves can be challenging, they are suitable for intermediate surfers. Caution is advised due to sharp coral and potential localism. When the conditions align, Antigues Cape offers long, barreling rides that make the paddle out worthwhile, despite the occasional spiky urchins lurking below.
