Located in the Red Triangle, Ano Nuevo State Reserve is a picturesque surf destination, famous for its marine life, including elephant seals and sea lions. Access is straightforward; park in the designated lot after paying a fee and enjoy a short walk to the surf. While it can be crowded on weekends, weekdays often see fewer surfers. The wave can close out frequently, making it suitable for experienced riders only. Be mindful of localism and the presence of sharks, particularly if venturing to outside reefs.
