Description

Alabama Point - Orange Beach Alabama Point features a breakwater and jetty setup, offering both right and left-hand waves over a sandy bottom. The spot is best when winds are from the south, southeast, or east, and it works at all tides. Expect ordinary to fun wave power, with conditions improving during tropical systems or local windswell. Located about 2 kilometers west of the Florida-Alabama line, access is straightforward with free parking available near the Perdido Pass bridge. While the spot can get crowded on weekends, especially during larger swells, it generally accommodates a manageable number of surfers. The area is known for its fickle nature due to limited swell exposure, but when conditions align, Alabama Point can produce solid waves, with faces reaching up to 1.8 meters during optimal southeast swells. Just be cautious of rips, localism, and the occasional shark.
