The waves are known for being hollow, fast, and fun, particularly during the cyclone season when conditions are optimal. The spot works best at mid and high tide with rising and falling tides. This secret surf spot is located halfway between Bundaberg and Gladstone, approximately 2.5 hours north of Fraser Island. The main beach is a short 10-minute walk from the town, making it easily accessible. When the swell is under 1 meter, the entire beach is surfable, but for swells exceeding 1 meter, surfers should head to the point near the main beach. The atmosphere is laid-back, and if you tire of surfing, excellent fishing opportunities await. While weekdays see few surfers, weekends can get crowded, so plan accordingly.
