Important airspace caution: Due to increased air traffic in CYA135 and CYA113, it is recommended that one pilot in the group contact the 443 Squadron Flight Operations Centre before and after flying. They often use the old mill site at Youbou for training. Announce your intent to fly via air-band radio on 123.025 MHz and monitor this frequency during the flight. This is not mandatory but is advised to avoid close interactions between powered and unpowered aircraft.
Contact the 443 Squadron Flight Ops Centre by phone at 250-363-5443 ext.51081 or by email at W12443-OPS@forces.gc.ca if they have flights in operation.
