Follow a Forest Service Road for approximately 5 miles until you reach a branch to the left. This path leads to the top of a minor ridge of Winter Ridge, just south of the 'shark's tooth' feature. The takeoff area is rocky, bushy, and steep, situated almost directly over the town of Summer Lake. The site record is 28.1 km. One medium cross-country flight log is available for this location.
