Description
At an altitude of 1755 meters with a height difference of 970 meters, this paragliding site is considered medium-easy. It is frequently used and offers opportunities for both soaring and cross-country flights. The launch site can be steep in some areas.
Located in the stunning Kitzbüheler Alps, this site features beautiful launch areas and a large landing zone. During the summer, reaching the launch sites requires a 15-minute hike. The west launch site is spacious and slightly undulating, accommodating multiple gliders simultaneously. In contrast, the north launch site is narrower and steeper, allowing only two gliders to be laid out at a time.
Thermal activity is typically found from late morning, especially to the right of the west launch site. Good thermals can facilitate cross-country flights towards Pinzgau. Additionally, the ridge extending to the left and right of the west launch site is ideal for soaring in dynamic west winds.
