Description
The site is situated at an elevation of approximately 600-800 meters. It is moderately popular, often frequented by both speedflyers and regular paragliders. The area is suitable for soaring and small cross-country flights. There are numerous takeoff options available, with no specific designated spots, providing flexibility for pilots.
Access to the site involves a toll road (20 NOK) after Helgatun leading to Vetlebotn seter, which is around 500 meters above sea level. It is possible to start from the seter if the wind conditions are favorable, but there are many excellent takeoff opportunities in the flat, heather-covered bowl above. The hike to the takeoff points can take between 10 to 60 minutes. The designated landing area is a marsh near the toll gate.
