Description
Located at an altitude of 1300-1630 meters with a height difference of 1240 meters, this paragliding site is moderately challenging and not frequently used. It offers ridge soaring and glide flights, with the possibility of small cross-country flights. There are many takeoff options, but be cautious of the limited ridge, skiers, and cables.
The slope is 100 meters long and consists of a grassy surface. It is situated next to a ski lift arrival point, so be mindful of the ski lift and potential turbulence from the northeast due to thermals rising behind the trees.
Landing is at Vionnaz.
Access to the takeoff is via a chairlift from the village of Torgon. The takeoff area faces northeast and has a steep incline, making it suitable for soaring, especially in moderate bise winds. It is not recommended for beginners.
The takeoff site is a moderately steep meadow at an altitude of 1630 meters. It is easily accessible by a chairlift from Plan du Croix after driving from Vionnaz. The coordinates for the takeoff site are 6.85713117, 46.30461064, and it is a 5-minute walk from the chairlift.
