Description
Located in the beautiful region of Tuscany, Italy, this paragliding site offers a take-off at 1060 meters with a rating of 4 out of 6. The site is frequently used and is known for its excellent soaring conditions and potential for cross-country (XC) flights. The landscape is highly variable and spectacular, making it a great choice for XC enthusiasts. The best season for XC flights is from May to August, although the site is operational all year round.
The take-off area is wide and inclined, facing west, and is situated on a slope with lateral vegetation. It comfortably accommodates four to five wings. There is a windsock located about 15 meters to the left, and a semi-flat area behind the take-off zone allows for both take-off and top landing configurations. Suitable wind directions for take-off are from the northwest to west.
For more information, you can visit the local club's website: [Arezzo Flyers](http://www.arezzoflyers.it/).
There are two take-off spots available. The primary one is at 1060 meters, southwest exposed, and easily accessible by jeep. If you are driving, there is a ten-minute walk to reach the take-off point. This area is quite spacious and free of obstacles. The second take-off spot is 200 meters higher at 1250 meters, south exposed, and primarily used by hang-gliders. This area is narrower and less suitable for paragliders.
