Description
Tjörnbron is a popular paragliding site known for its regular soaring flights. The launch site is classified as a ridge soaring (hang) location and requires a Pilot 2 license. The optimal wind direction for flying here is from the south.
The launch altitude is 65 meters above sea level, with a maximum flight altitude of 760 meters. The launch site is situated just above the road tunnel, making it a challenging cliff launch.
To get there, head towards Stenungsbadet and down to the beach at the old ferry location. Walk along the bike path and cut through the forest to reach the launch site, which is about 10 meters above the road towards Tjörn.
Landing is on the small peninsula known as Lilla Hawaii. Be cautious of easterly winds as they can create challenging conditions for landing.

A video of the site can be found in the link above. There is also a smaller launch south of the tunnel leading to Tjörnbron.
