The take-off site at Stanserhorn is situated at an elevation of 1680 meters and is regularly used by paragliders. It is particularly favorable during Bise winds and offers excellent evening soaring conditions. Some cross-country (XC) flying is also possible from this location. The main official launch site is accessible as long as the path is free of snow.
To reach the take-off point, take the aerial cableway from Stans to the summit of Stanserhorn. From the mountain station, head east to the launch site, which is a moderately steep meadow. This site serves as a starting point for cross-country flights.
