This site is regularly used and suitable for both paragliding (PG) and hang gliding (HG). While good cross-country (XC) flights are possible, they are rare. The site is best enjoyed for leisurely autumn flights with beautiful panoramic views.
The main launch site is located at the top station of the Sonnwendjochbahn. Paragliders are tolerated but not officially permitted, and there is no winter operation. Please behave respectfully to ensure future pilots can also enjoy this site without issues.
Access is via the cable car from Kramsach (Sonnwendjoch chairlift).

This is a challenging flying area above Kramsach in the Inntal. The valley wind system can be very pronounced here. Be prepared for strong winds during landing or plan to land early.

The area, part of the 'Rofan' range, is best flown at the end of summer and into autumn. Thermals develop on the east side relatively early in the day. It is a less frequented and beautiful spot, especially suited for advanced and professional pilots.
Flight
With winds from the east to southeast, you can achieve excellent cross-country flights. Along the Inntal, you can fly effortlessly into the Engadin or even to Vorarlberg. Be mindful of the CTA-Innsbruck.
Difficulty
Afternoon turbulence can make landing more challenging. In winter, the main landing area is used for ski lessons, so land below the winter practice slope. The valley wind can be quite strong and reaches high altitudes.
