Description
Saddle Look Out offers a vertical flight for paragliders with an elevation of 5800 feet. The launch site is at 7300 feet, and the landing zone is near Arrow Lake at 1500 feet. Located on the west side of Arrow Lake, you will need to turn north immediately west of the Faquier Ferry. The road to the lookout is well-marked.
For those interested in hike & fly, there is a 2500-foot vertical hike to the top, leading to Alpine meadow launches that primarily face east. There are also potential hang gliding launches off the road in newly cleared areas.
New clear cuts at the summit, immediately above Faquier, offer promising west-facing launches.
Flying is possible from early morning onwards, and camping is an option for those who wish to stay and fly.
