Description
Located in Melhus, Norway, this paragliding site is frequently used by the Nidaros Air Sports Club. The launch area is situated in a clear-cut area near Melhus center, with a launch mat installed in autumn 2004, ensuring a very good takeoff. The landing zone is on a part of the field below the launch, along the old E6 road.
The site offers excellent and sometimes strong thermals, making it suitable for soaring and some cross-country flying. However, pilots must be aware of the airspace restrictions, with a height limit of 1066 meters. A map detailing the height restrictions in the area can be found [here](http://folk.ntnu.no/sandquis/luftrom/luftromtrondheim.JPG).
It is crucial to drive slowly and carefully on the way up to the launch site due to previous complaints. A key is necessary to access the site, so contacting the club is essential.
