Description
Elevation: 560 meters
This site is frequently used and offers good soaring conditions with the possibility for cross-country flights. The takeoff is from a cliff, making it suitable for experienced pilots only. It is not recommended for students.
The launch area has ample space from southeast to southwest.
Directions: Take the E6 and exit onto R213 through Moelv. Turn right at Vea and follow the signs to Lundehagen, then turn left towards Kinne. Continue on the forest road, then walk 370 meters with a 60-meter elevation gain.
For an alternative approach, you can hike up from the south side. Park near the brown log house and inform the residents that you are flying. The parking coordinates are N 60.96.203, E 10.71.612. Preferably, park just before the house; there are two turn-offs to the left that can be used. It's advisable to bring a shovel in winter.
The hike from the south side takes about 30 minutes with your paraglider. The trail is a bit steep but well-marked. In winter, the path is usually trampled down, and in summer, it becomes a cart road.
Landing options:
1. To the left below the launch site, you must land facing east or west as the field slopes.
2. Alternatively, you can fly down to 'skinka' and land near Mjøsa. This is not an officially designated landing area, so exercise caution.
For hang gliders, transport is from the backside, requiring a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
