Description
Located in Omak, Washington, USA, this paragliding site offers a launch altitude between 981-1070 meters with a height difference of 700 meters. The launch area faces southwest, directly down the Okanogan River Valley, just northeast of Omak. The terrain is primarily solid rock with a shallow slope, which may require some improvement for no-wind launches due to the need for longer, debris-free runs.
The site is rarely used but offers potential for thermalling and mini cross-country flights. The southwest-facing ridge can become very hot, especially on sunny days. However, on cooler, partially cloudy days, pilots have reported encountering strong lift. This site could potentially be an excellent location for glass-off flights.
