Description
Overseer Mountain, standing at 1867 meters with a height difference of approximately 1550 meters, is a rarely used climb-and-fly site. While it offers potential for cross-country (XC) flights, it is not a popular destination for paragliders. The mountain is located near the VOC cabin Harrison Hut and is the highest peak on the Pemberton Icecap.
The mountain is well-known among various outdoor enthusiasts, including scramblers, explorers, skiers, and snowmobilers. It is also recognized by the American peak-bagging community as an "ultra" due to its prominence of over 1500 meters. The standard route to the summit involves a Class 2 or 3 scramble on broken granite, with an easy glaciated approach. However, the challenging access deters many from attempting this trip.
