Parapente Ohiwa Pa

This paragliding site in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is occasionally used and rarely logged. It offers local thermal and dynamic soaring opportunities. The site record is 4.9 km. For landing, top landing is possible but expect small turbulences due to the flat and very small area (less than 100m²). Landing at the beach is super-easy with lots of space available. There are no specific regulations, but be cautious of low-level VFR weekend microlight traffic from the Opotiki grass aerodrome, located 5NM to the ESE. The frequency to monitor is 119.1MHz.
