Access: Drive to the parking lot at Heidenbomm from Hemmental or Beggingen, then walk approximately 15 minutes to the takeoff site at Ob Lucken. With a permit (available in a box), you can transport your equipment (delta or paraglider) by vehicle, but the vehicle must be returned to the parking lot immediately, and the permit must be deposited. Last takeoff is at 18:00, and the last landing is at 18:30.
The takeoff area for paragliders is very short, making it suitable only for highly experienced pilots. The launch ramp is fenced for safety reasons and must be closed after use. The last pilot to take off is responsible for closing it. Inspecting the landing site before the flight is essential.
Landing: Typically, pilots land with a left-hand pattern. In case of an outlanding, the pilot is liable for any crop damage and must inform the landowner.
Flight Restrictions:
- Last takeoff: 18:00
- Last landing: 18:30
- Maximum flight altitude: 1350 m (TMA Kloten). Exceptions can be found on the glider or ICAO charts.
Hazards: The short takeoff area is challenging and recommended only for very experienced pilots.
Access Restrictions: From Heidenbaum to the takeoff site at Ob Lucken, driving is prohibited. Only members of the Delta and Paragliding Club Schaffhausen are allowed to use the forest road with a special permit. Visiting pilots must join the club.
