At an elevation of 2431 meters, this site is regularly used for leisure flights, with cross-country flights possible but rare. The main launch area is on both sides of the railway tracks, primarily used in summer.
Be cautious of Engadin Airport and the wildlife protection zone. Make sure to get informed beforehand.
This summer flying site is located in Pontresina, Grison, Switzerland. Flights typically occur in the morning or evening hours when the Maloja wind is not too strong. The launch area is between the mountain station and Villa Lyss. After takeoff, cross the railway tracks to the south. Continue flying on the southern side (in the green area) to avoid the 5 km restricted zone. Entry into this area is only allowed below 2100 meters above sea level. Flying southwest towards St. Moritz is permitted up to the river.
Before starting, hang glider pilots must register by phone with the C-Office of Engadin Airport (Tel. 081 851 08 51). The following information is required:
