This site is likely the least known in the entire Ahrntal valley. However, it offers the advantage of a launch area that is slightly inclined towards the southwest when the wind is coming from the west. From here, you get the best view over Bruneck and the Pustertal valley towards the southwest. Simply magnificent! Gliding into the sunset from here is a dream come true!
Directions: Take road number 621 from Bruneck towards Sand in Taufers. In Uttenheim, turn right at the blue bridge and follow the signs towards Mühlbach (approximately 8.5 km). Before reaching Mühlbach, turn left towards Forcher Höfe. The launch site is behind a small wooded area.
Flight: Enjoy a panoramic flight over Gais with views of Bruneck and Kronplatz. This site also offers entry points for cross-country flights along the Pustertal valley.
Landing: For both paragliders and hang gliders, the landing zone is at an altitude of 839 meters, in a meadow near the sports field.
Emergency Landing Spots: Meadows and fields along the base of the slope near the village.
Caution: Dangerous in north wind conditions! The landing zone is not visible from the launch site.
