Description
Ibukiyama Flight Area is situated on the free-standing Mt. Ibuki, offering a picturesque view of Lake Biwa-ko. The site is primarily used for ridge and thermal soaring, with no cross-country flights allowed. It is a popular spot for '3rd Stage' courses conducted by the Ibukiyama Paraglider School. The best flying season spans from April to December.

Access:
- By Car: 30 minutes from Maibara ramp and 20 minutes from Sekigahara ramp.
- By Train: 15 minutes to the foot of Ibukiyama by bus from Ohmi-nagaoka Station of JR.

- Others: Contact the desk of Ibukiyama Paraglider School for permission to use the path through the forest. Gather at 09:30 at the gondola station. Low power radio, not subject to license, is used.
