Located in South Tyrol, Italy, this paragliding site offers an elevation of 2220-2250 meters with a height difference of 495 meters. It is suitable for pilots with easy to medium skill levels. The site is regularly used and known for its thermal soaring conditions, making some cross-country flights possible. The scenery is spectacular, providing a fantastic panorama of the Dolomites.
To reach the launch site, take the shuttle from Misurina to Rifugio Busi. Outside the tourist season, the road is accessible by car. In snowy conditions, expect a one-hour walk. The launch area has limited space, so be prepared for a tight setup.
Monte Piana is a popular destination for paragliding schools due to its reliable thermals, which can make the area crowded but never dull. The site offers height differences ranging from 500 to 1100 meters, ensuring varied and exciting flights.
