Description
At an altitude of 2100 meters, this site is rarely used but offers potential for cross-country (XC) flights. There are many hike & fly launch sites on this mountain, though none are officially designated. It's advisable to check in advance, especially during the summer.
The launch site is located on a small, steep meadow west of the mountain station. You can reach it by taking the cable car from Wiler to Lauchernalp. The orientation is between 157.5° and 202.5°, making it suitable for various wind conditions. The difficulty level is easy, and the height of the launch site is 2000 meters. The walking time from the cable car station to the launch site is approximately 5 minutes.
