Description
This paragliding site is situated at an elevation of 2322 meters with a height difference of approximately 760 meters. It is occasionally used, primarily for short thermalling and scenic flights. This is a morning site, so plan your flights early in the day.
The drive up to the site is quite challenging, with a very rough and rocky road that can be hard on tires. The site is located above and to the north of the Fire Hazard site in Saratoga Springs.
Takeoff is rather technical, with a flat surface near radio towers. For landing, there are many places along the road to the takeoff area, but it's important to choose a spot without too much sagebrush.
Access to the site is via a dirt track from Saratoga Springs, which is not exactly a road but more of a tire-eating path with lots of sharp stones.
