At an altitude of 2477 meters, this paragliding site is relatively popular and offers excellent cross-country (XC) flying opportunities. The best season for XC flights is from March to May. During the ski season and from mid-June to October, you can take the cable car to Caischavedra, followed by a 1 hour and 15-minute hike to the launch site.
In winter, you can reach the Lai Alv launch site using the second section of the chairlift. Note that this section is not operational during the summer. The winter launch site is located immediately east of the restaurant. Since the launch site is on a ski slope, a safety net must be set up before takeoff. This net is available under the restaurant's terrace.
The summer launch site at Lai Alv is 130 meters east of the lift and is only accessible on foot. Be cautious of tailwinds, as launching in such conditions is not advisable. The launch site at Lai Alv is also susceptible to north winds.
