Description
At an elevation of 1945 meters with a height difference of approximately 800 meters, this site is considered easy. It is rarely used, making it a hidden gem for thermal soaring and cross-country (XC) flights. You can drive up with a 4WD vehicle or hike up using the mountain bike trail.
The site offers good takeoff spots facing southwest and smaller ones facing west. However, the landing fields in front are small, so it's recommended to aim for XC flights. The region is Caribou in Canada, and the site record is 46.4 km.
Access is straightforward with a 4WD vehicle up to the old fire lookout. The southwest takeoff area is spacious and located in beautiful alpine meadows, while the west takeoff from the top is smaller. The landing fields are small clearings within the trees.
