Paragliding Jakubovice

Jakubovice is a regularly used paragliding site known for good thermal soaring and the possibility of cross-country (XC) flights. The launch area is a gently sloped meadow bordered by a forest on the left side, with tall birch trees marking the lower edge. You can drive up to the launch site. After passing through the village of Jakubovice, turn right just after the transmitter and follow the somewhat complex field paths. For pilots without a GPS device, it is helpful to follow the red tourist trail that runs along the southeastern edge of the forest leading to the launch site. For wings with lower glide ratios, it is advisable to move about 200 meters south. Launch direction is southeast with a wind azimuth of 100° to 150°. The site is at an altitude of 780 meters above sea level with an elevation gain of 150 meters.
