Description
Takeoff: The takeoff area is a very good, grassy spot with an altitude of 350 meters. You can access it by road from the Islares water deposit near the scrapyard.
Landing: The landing area is a wide grassy field accessible through the bus stop in the center of Islares, leading to the coast. There is ample parking next to the landing zone. Be cautious of a cable that runs to the house next to the landing area.
Getting There: Take the Santander-Bilbao highway and exit at Islares.
Comments: This site offers dynamic coastal soaring with the possibility of ocean thermals. Be cautious of the venturi effect formed at Oriñón beach with a right crosswind. Do not park vehicles in the landing area as it is a borrowed field.
