Description
Located at an altitude of 1347 meters in the Agadir region of Morocco, this paragliding site offers a unique flying experience.
For landing, you have two main options: a safe landing in the valley basin, followed by a walk up a gully to the right on a path leading to the village of Idikel, where retrieval from the Tafraout-Agadir road is straightforward. Alternatively, you can land below Fifilou at the road before the high voltage lines.
To get there, follow the directions for landing.
Be cautious of weather hazards. Avoid flying with north or east winds (Chergui) and wait until thermal gusts subside, as the area is rocky and has seen several incidents in recent years.
There is no infrastructure at the site.

For accommodation, consider staying overnight at Oumesnate, a village in the Ammel valley towards Tafraout. The 'Maison d'Hote' is a beautiful, inexpensive family home in a restored antique Berber house. Follow the road to Tafraout until you see the signs. Another option is Hotel Salama in the center of Tafraout.
For takeoff, from the road from Agadir to Tafraout, before crossing the gap at Fifilou, turn left onto a good dirt road and follow it for about 2 kilometers, passing remnants of a mining camp, until you reach a small saddle. Here, the road turns left and follows a mountain flank. At the turn, you will find a flat surface overlooking parts of the valley to the southwest. Walk horizontally 200 meters towards the edge to find several cleaned, small takeoff fields. This site has been explored and developed by Oliver Guenay since 1991, with regular paragliding trips and detailed introductions available.
