At an elevation of 2160 meters, the 'Höhe Steinige Matte' offers a serene paragliding experience, though it is not frequently used. This location is ideal for walk & fly enthusiasts, providing various launch sites. The area is known for its panoramic flights, with some potential for cross-country (XC) flying.
The launch sites include options facing north, although these are more challenging. The summit plateau, located slightly southwest of the peak, offers ample space for preparation. The launch area consists of a flat meadow that gradually becomes steeper, making it an easy takeoff spot.
For flight routes, you can head south towards Bolberg or west towards Niederhorn, passing through Amisbüel on your way to Interlaken.
